SEZAD Scholarships For Ten Duqm Students

The Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZAD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, will provide scholarships to ten students from the wilayat.
The students will get sponsorship for their courses at the Sultan Qaboos University from the next year. \'Scholarships will be provided for three seats in civil engineering, two each in engineering (quantity surveying), law and accountancy and one in marketing.
\'The fees of the students will be borne by us. We are not here only for business, but our aim is to raise the level of education among people.
\'SEZAD is an important supporter of software development in the country and it has always provided support for many development projects in the area,\' said Ismail bin Ahmed al Balushi, chairman, committee of community development and executive vice president, SEZAD.
A senior official from the SEZAD said, \'This is the first time that we are sponsoring students from Duqm, and we will continue this initiative in the coming years as well. \'These ten students will be selected on the basis of their performance in an exam which will be conducted after Eid al Fitr\'.
